QUB Rowers compete at the Under 23 World Championships

Queen's Sport is extremely proud to have three exceptional athletes representing Queen's University in the World Under 23 Championships. The distinguished trio includes Molly Curry, who showcased her remarkable skills in the GB women's quadruple scull, Konan Pazzaia, who displayed his expertise in the Irish men's double scull and Ciaran Purdy, who impressively demonstrated his talents in the Irish men's lightweight double scull category.

Molly faced a highly competitive heat, where her performance earned her a place in the repechage. Undeterred, she secured her spot in the B final, where she and her crew delivered an impressive 2nd place finish. As a result, she concluded the championship in the commendable 8th position overall.

Ciaran's journey was defined by triumph as he claimed victory in both his heat and semi-final. Despite his valiant efforts in the final, he narrowly missed a medal, securing an impressive 4th place in the intensely competitive race.

Konan repeated his success by winning both his heats and semi-finals in the double scull category. In the championship, the Irish duo showed their strength from the start, keeping a strong lead all the way and securing a clear victory.

Congratulations to Molly, Ciaran, and Konan for their impressive achievements. They have brought immense pride to Queens' Sport and their sponsor, Options IT.
