Restrictions Extended to 1 April

Restrictions and FAQ's...

Restrictions outlined by the NI Executive on 17 December 2020 have now been extended until 1 April 2021.

Queen's Sport will continue to comply with official guidance and take all appropriate steps to help prevent the spread of the virus – prioritising the health and wellbeing of our staff, students and wider community is upmost in all of our decision making. This means that until 1 April 2021 we cannot offer sport or fitness activities at any of our sites apart from at an elite level.

Q. What will happen to my membership during this period?

A. All memberships will be frozen during the closure period

Q. Will monthly direct debit and salary payments stop during the closure?

A. No direct debit payments will be taken in March. In lieu of your payments made in January no payments will be taken in April and only 50% of your monthly rate will be collected in May. Salary payments will also take into account the closure period with no collections during this time.

Q. What will happen to my lump sum membership?

A. As with previous closures and restrictions memberships will be extended to take into account the closure period. 

Q. Will Queen's Sport continue to run its online group exercise programme?

A. Yes we will still be running our online programme.

Q. I have signed up for an online course will this be affected by the restrictions?

A. No our current courses RISE, Yoga and Pilates will continue online.

Q. Will student clubs be able to train during the restrictions?

A. No unfortunately indoor and outdoor sport including student clubs is not permitted, other than at elite level. 

Q. Will casual 5 aside bookings be available at any of your sites?

A. No unfortunately all indoor and outdoor sport including casual 5-aside is not permitted at any of our sites.

Q. Can I get in touch with staff during this closure period.
