Secure Bike Parking Now Available at PEC

Supporting Sustainable Travel at Queen’s University.

Queen’s University is proud to announce the opening of PEC’s first secure bike parking shelter on Wednesday, 2 October. This facility is part of a broader initiative to improve cycling infrastructure across campus, supported by DFI funding.

The shelter provides secure storage for up to 20 bikes, with access controlled via fob entry. This follows other recent improvements, including an e-bike charging station at the Peter Froggatt Centre and a dedicated parking area for cargo and accessible bikes outside Hope Café.

How to Apply for Access:

To request a fob for the PEC bike shelter, please email sustainability@qub.ac.uk with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Student/Staff  number
  • Email address and mobile number
  • Days/times you need access
  • If you plan to park an e-bike, please include this in your request

This new facility reflects Queen’s University ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable travel across campus.
