Irrespective of your athletic prowess or fitness level, the Active Campus programme caters to all. Through our four strands of Active Campus; Active Fitness, Active Lifestyle and Active Clubs, there is something for everyone. Whether you're challenging yourself with Couch 2 5k or the Queen’s Deep River Rock 5k or engaging in taster sessions hosted by our 62 sports clubs tailored for beginners, rest assured there's something that will resonate with you. Have a desire to experience dodgeball, yoga, social netball, or tag rugby? Our program is tailor-made to offer you a diverse range of exciting opportunities.

Please note, places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Zumba:- fuses aerobic, conditioning and dance training exercises to a mixture of Latin and International music. This is an exciting, high energy class which is suitable for all fitness levels. You will have so much fun, you won't believe it's a workout!
  • Yoga:- you will be led through progressive Hatha Yoga with modifications for all. It will challenge & increase your strength & flexibility, while focusing on relaxation & mindfulness.
  • Tone & Trim:- a progressive class using resistance and stretching exercises for precision firming and muscle conditioning, it provides an intense, non-cardio workout that targets all the major muscle groups. This class can be joined in person or online, depending on what best suits you that day.

Changing Facilities and Showers are provided at Queen’s Sport

Registration and Payment: Booking and payment can be made via the online payment system HERE  You will be also asked to complete a short health questionnaire when making the payment.  This must be completed before taking part in the classes

Staff Football

As part of the QUB Staff Wellbeing programme, Active Campus is hosting a 8-week football programme open to all QUB staff members.

Staff Football:
Summer Staff Football programme, running every Tuesday from 9 July to 27 August, from 1-2pm on the OTF pitches behind the PEC. 
The programme runs for 8 weeks, providing a fun and active way to take a break, get some fresh air and enjoy your summer!

Due to popular demand, Active Campus is thrilled to offer a 8-week staff badminton programme, open to all QUB staff.

 

Thursday 11 July until Thursday 29 August in the Minor Hall at Queen's Sport/PEC from 1-1:45pm.
Whether you consider yourself a competitive Badminton player or prefer a more casual, social approach, this programme is designed to accommodate everyone!

Active Lifestyle Programme
Relaunch

Queen’s Sport is excited to announce the relaunch of the Active Lifestyle Programme, dedicated to enhancing student mental health through physical activity.

Throughout the programme, an Exercise Referral Coordinator will provide personalised assistance to students during their 8-week journey. Participants can engage in a variety of interventions, including:

  • Personalised Confidence Building Gym Sessions
  • Group Exercise Classes
  • Access to Sports Clubs and Societies
  • Active Campus Initiatives such as the Couch to 5K Programme or Student Social Sport

Students interested in participating or seeking additional information can sign up by contacting Student Wellbeing Services or email the Active Lifestyle Team at activelifestyle@qub.ac.uk.
